Yes. MFDP Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN: 1046536). MFDP Services Ltd is an appointed representative of MFDP Ltd, registered with Companies House (Company No: 16758794). Both entities are registered in England and Wales and operate from Trinity Chambers, 800 Mandarin Court, Warrington, WA1 1GG.

MFDP Ltd is the FCA-authorised debt purchasing company — it buys debt portfolios from original creditors. MFDP Services Ltd is its appointed representative, authorised to manage customer accounts and communications on MFDP Ltd.’s behalf. When you received a letter from MFDP Services, it is because MFDP Ltd has purchased your debt.

No — we will not add interest or charges to your balance while we are managing your account directly. Charges may apply only if the matter is referred for legal action, but if we can reach a repayment agreement with you, this will not be necessary.

We would always encourage you to get in touch so we can work with you to find an affordable solution. If we do not hear from you, we may need to explore other options to recover the debt, which could include referring your account to a solicitor. This could result in court action and may affect your credit file.

When MFDP Ltd purchases your debt, the entry on your credit file will be updated to show MFDP Ltd as the account holder instead of your original creditor. We will continue to update the Credit Reference Agencies as your account progresses.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your account, please contact us directly in the first instance. If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you have the right to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service, as MFDP Services Ltd is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
